Having spent nearly two decades building in Entertainment, Music, and Sneakers, Martinez thrives at the center of Culture, from Silver Lake to Harajuku and back to Brooklyn. An avid sports fan, Martinez has played in a summer pickup basketball league for ten years, but can also be found on a tennis or pickleball court or watching F1 races every Sunday.

Martinez is a veteran entrepreneur having previously founded two startups. He sold the first to Live Nation in 2016 and launched his second business as part of Snapchat’s accelerator, Yellow, in 2019. He’s been featured in Forbes, Wired, Billboard, Business Insider, AdWeek, Time, et al. for his thoughts on venture capital and the various industries where he’s built his businesses.

Everywhere he goes, Martinez creates connections with intentionality. With relationships across diverse industries, Martinez has spoken at conferences, such as SXSW, CES, Midem, and VidCon. He remains an active member of Transparent Collective, First Round Fast Track, the On Deck Founder Fellowship, the Schusterman Foundation Reality Leadership Program, and Friends with Benefits.
